So if politicians blog, what will the MSM report?
Erm. Since reporting politicians’ statements will become rather redundant, why will people buy papers anymore?
Hmmmmmm. And since we can ask questions directly on the blogs, what will be news?

Ah, but will they blog personally? Or dictate their words to a computer-savvy or fast-typing secretary? Or just get their campaign staff to blog in their name, with rough guidelines and obligatory approval?
MSM will die a slow death when no one will read their spin.
eehhh….still got…..like those things chua soi lek would not voluntarily post in his blog.
The MSM will elevate sex scandals(always a M’sian fav) to the front page.
yup. all MSM became tabloid hahaha….
they need to reinvent themselves
MSM still got use for job ads, classifieds, buy/sell things, foreign news, gossips, etc
BN politician’s version of blog is one-way communication. Cannot imagine they allow unmoderated comments or comments not agree with them - like The Star blog where comments sometimes take 1 day to appear, and sometimes not approved
33% of bloggers never update after one month!
another 33% stops updating after 5 months!
Only 33% continue….and only 1.3% updates daily like Jed Yoong hehehehe!!
PS: all statistics quoted above are more reliable than MSM but not to be taken seriously!!!
idham@pakpayne
MSM lately has chaged its policy to being government friendly rather than BN friendly. This only showed that it still do not understand its true role in society…. and that is TO SELL CREDIBLE AND OBJECTIVE News reports.
Being government friendly does not build a sustainable long term business for MSM. What builds its sustainable long term business is its brand equity with the consumers.
There is nothing to stop Pakatan Rakyat from giving another one or more MSM license when they form the next government. By then its too late for the current MSM if they still do not understand its real role in society NOW!!!
But these MSM I think still be very much needed, at least to bungkus itu nasi lemak, roti canai and ect. Also best for lap cermin lol…
p.s Give them chance la to improve, just like our PR also needs time what…
I still read MSM for (no particular order)
- Foreign News
- Human Interest, Local stories and other Non-political reports
- Business News ( Have to track my Stock and Unit Trust accounts kekekekek…
- Sports
- Comics
- Sudoku
- Advertisements
Easily 50 - 60 % of the paper is political junk, but the rest is worth reading.
I like the comics section
one thing the MSM on’t be reporting is TH|IS!!
