WoW, PKR cybertroopers….

Posted in macam2ada, pkr by jedyoong on April 4th, 2008

You guys and UMNO…I dunno. Looks like your idola still causes the MOST emotional responses!

I pray that God will save us from the bane that is called Anwar Ibrahim.

Hello! Your idola is some idiot who wanted to sign our country away to the IMF ok. He also raised interest rates to stoopid levels.

All you guys can give me about his “achievements” are ABIM, being jailed for protesting for farmers, etc….

Please-lah.

Anyway, it’s a free country.

Why don’t PKR just go back to UMNO? It’s turning Pakatan Rakyat into another BN. What’s the difference? I can’t tell. If the East Malaysian MPs jump over, then I really can’t tell.

Am dismayed at the Selangor state government. Yes, the current one. Penang and Kedah so far have made the right moves and noises. Meanwhile the state which has a PKR MB can’t seem to find its direction.

UPDATE OooooOOOoooOOOOoooOOOoooOOOppppPPPSPPPpppspps…… Messiah Anwar Ibrahim is above criticism. No, no, can’t criticise the perfect politician……NO, it’s not true…. IT can’t be true that he was said to be a tyrant as a DPM….And all his machais were detested…..That he brought chaos to the streets of KL just for himself…..NO NO NO NO….Ini semua fitnah! Fitnah!

UPDATE 2
From KTemoc:

Blind to double standards

Double standards!

Blame, curse, damn Dr M for his actions. Yet excuse his former (pre 1999) deputy ;-), a UMNO’s former leader too.

Dr M is a hypocrite when he proposes democratic reforms. Yet his former deputy who proposes the same stuff is God’s gift to Malaysian political reforms.

Dr M should be damned for eternity, yet his former deputy should be forgiven and accepted as the latter has ‘learnt’!

Worse, when his former deputy indulges in frog hunting, there were even excuses quickly rustled up to justify that shameful attempt to undermine of the ballot box. Oh, for Brahma, jettison due democratic process as necessary. Small wonder Karpal Singh was so repulsed and revolted by those tactics/intentions.

Dr Mahathir has not been an angel, but one has to acknowledge the good with the bad - look at his achievements - si monumentum requiris circumspice (if you seek his memorial, look around you).

UPDATE 3

From commentator Anwarista:

On the issue of MP’s crossing over, my god woman don’t be so naïve. The opposition won the elections on the 8th of March and it was only due to the large Magabesque manipulation of the results BN retained power. Do you think they are going to make the same mistake twice? Anwar knows that this is going to be the one chance for the opposition to take control and create some semblance of democracy in this country and he is going to seize it. So what if he is offering Sabah and Sarawak 20% oil royalty. Its no less than they deserve, who do you think has been funding the development in the West all these years?

JY: I found out last week that it is NOT normal for MPs to switch parties especially after an election. Can someone tell me in which other country does it also happen so often? :) Even in Thailand they leave before the election and contest under a new party. And Opposition parties throughout the world always claim that elections are dirty.  Did you guys follow the Kenya elections? Boy were the losers livid…Same arguments as the Pakatan Rakyat — dirty, fraud, etc….

But this may be the best chance for PR to gain control of the Federal Government. I think it’s the quickest way to see if all these election promises will come true. PKR helmed by Anwar, who is also former chairman/president of Transparency International, doesn’t seem to be doing much in implementing what it preached in attacking UMNO for corruption. Why don’t they put the processes in place?

I would say that the outflow of foreign and local funds was the primary cause of high interest rates. Local funds would include UMNO linked companies - they would know when the peg was being introduced.

Who would have benefitted when the currency peg was introduced on that October evening is a question I`ve always asked. There were some very suspicious ringgit movements just before that. Someone had to do the selling/buying. Someone in the know.

One month later the other countries that had been under the IMF, began to see large inflows of foreign funds. Malaysia was to miss out on all this and still is.

Only the palmoil and petroleum revenues saved the country.

And how does `raskal` know that TDM is not a CIA or Jew agent?
Or that KJ is not one? Or that Badawi is not one?

Badawi agrees apostates should be put to death (re: Nyonya Tahir case - but she was dead already).
Anwar says No to body snatching. Is that why Anwar is an `agent`. Phoosh! This is head swirling.

TDM and Umno are the well established harm and evil. This is still being pursued relentlessly. Bad awi has injected middle Eastern religious extremism by sucking up to even Yousef al-Garadawi which Anwar did not.

Anwar is no longer within Umno and he has even trimmed his goatee some. KT however cannot stop shouting wolf, like as if we’re all deaf. It’s just his favorite daily indulgence in paranoia. He wastes all his ammo, firing in the wrong general direction.

  11. Anwarista said, on April 4th, 2008 at 5:28 pm

Your irrational hate for DSAI would be bearable if it were not for the continuos recitation of tired and nonsensical arguments.

Firstly my view of the man is that after failing to induce change from outside the system, which ultimately led to a spell in Kamunting detention centre, he came to a realisation that the only way to induce change was from the inside [i.e. UMNO]. So he made a deal with the devil (Dr M) and rapidly rose through the ranks.

No doubt that while in UMNO he had to curb his idealism and perhaps engaged in the activities that he was vehemently against (money politics etc), if for no other reason than political survival. I’m sure he justified it in his mind by saying it will all be different when he is in power, he just had to make sure he got there. He still held on to his beliefs on democracy, rule of law, liberty etc [just read his 1996 book The Asian Renaissance].

Anyway in 1998 things were getting strained and when Anwar finally took a stand against Mahathir over Petronas bailing out his son’s shipping company, it was too late and he was fired. Mahathir saw Anwar’s support of the IMF policies as a betrayal. Anwar saw it as a chance to crush the crony capitalism prevalent in Malaysia- a direct threat to DrM’s friends.

So Anwar paid the price and spend 6 years in solitary. Isn’t that enough in itself to give the man a second chance Jed? You are Christian after all. Regardless of religion, basic human empathy would allow people to give others a second chance in such circumstances.

So let me ask you, what faults to you find in what he espouses now? Isn’t he trying to forge a more tolerant and progressive country? Why don’t you stop attacking the messenger and try listening to the message? But alas your so caught up in your Anwar hate you fail to realise how irrational and downright stubborn you sound [DrM would be proud of you].

Lastly on the IMF issue, it’s a huge fallacy that Dr M gets credited as some sort of hero. The fact is his measures led to short term gains at the expense of long term benefits. The structural problems are still present, as is the corruption and cronyism. Had we followed the IMF it would have been painful no doubt, but we would have been all the better for it. Look at South Korea.

But clearly I have wasted my time trying to prove something to someone who doesn’t seem to engage in any form of logical debate… at least not when Anwar is concerned.

Jed, as I see it, Anwar’s main ambition is to be PM. What he went through, his strategic moves and his putting on a ‘deaf ear’ to calls of patience are all because of this one obsession — i.e. of wanting to be PM!

  15. Din Ahmad said, on April 4th, 2008 at 6:16 pm

    Jed,

If Anwar Ibrahim is that bad, I wonder why would the leaders of DAP and PAS accept him ? My only explanation is that either they can’t read him (assuming he is as bad as said by many in here) – which means all the supporters of DAP and PAS are in trouble because their leaders are just a bunch of dodos or are even bigger hypocrites. Alternatively, he is not that bad and the leaders of DAP and PAS understands that and they accept him as that.

Many of us (me included) is very excited about the future of this country now, after the March 8 saga. Like it or not Anwar contributed tremendously to the results. I like to suggest that we all focus on building this country together by taking what we achieved on March 8 to a higher level. Going around questioning Anwar, LKS, Haji Hadi or Husam or other leaders of Pakatan Rakyat will not bring us anywhere unless there are concrete evidence of whatever they have been accused of.

Anwar, whatever his past misdeeds, was looking at economic liberalisation in the mold of South Korea, instead of further mollycoddling and protectionism that Mahathir’s Ringgit peg sought. The Korean companies were pushed by market forces to commit fundamental structural reforms, while Malaysian business is still run essentially the same like pre-crisis methods, thus also having the same fundamental flaws.

That Anwar is a wily politician and liable to use the electorate is not in question. But then, we can also use him in return to achieve our own goals for government. In this sense, it is indeed vital that criticisms be allowed to check him as well.

But not the simplistic generalisations of him trying to “sell” our country, please.

    cheers

on my personal view about Anwar……….i’m with you Jed…..i can’t put my thrust 100% on him………maybe just around 30%-40% and I believe Pas leader also don’t thrust Anwar 100%………on political ground, yes they have to collaborate

on Che Det, he was and still is the man who developed Malaysia but at the same time destroy Malaysia slowly………

    my theory is…….on RM 10,

    Che Det,
He and his crony took RM 4
    Malaysian enjoy RM 6

    Pak Lah,
He and his Family took RM 5
    His crony took RM 3
    Malaysian enjoy RM 2

    Anwar,
His crony will take RM 2
    Malaysian will enjoy RM 4
The balance will sell to foreigner which in turn they share the profit 50:50

we just lucky that the Malaysian still can enjoy a piece of that RM 10, where as some country in Africa

    Crony took RM 4
    The leader took RM 8
The people will pay all the extra

    hahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

Dont think anwar will be PM. He’ll just be like sonia gandhi. He’ll chair PR’s meeting. That’s all. Audio tapes recorded by SB will find their way into the internet if he becomes PM. So, if the 30+ MPs do cross over (on altruistic motive, of course, erm, erm), Wan Azizah will join the leuague of Aquino, Macapagal, Bhutto (deceased), Megawati etc.

Don’t get so emotional whether if he’s a good or evil politician. Make yourself comfortable by taking on the role of a boss, let him work for you. If he do not perform up to your expectation, kick him out!! After the GE12, with the change in the political landscape, I think it will be easier to rid of low class non peforming politician that we dislike.

Leftism is the hunger for control over other people. The Left are mostly self-aggrandizing crooks who gain power by deceiving the uninformed with snake-oil promises. “Power at any price” is their intrinsic motto — power which they invariably use to destroy. Destruction is all that they are good at.

The large number of rich Leftists shows that it is not material envy that drives them but rather HATRED of society’s existing arrangements

Leftists don’t have principles. How can they when “there is no such thing as right and wrong”? All they have is postures, pretend-principles that can be changed as easily as one changes one’s shirt

  31. A.G Mustakim said, on April 5th, 2008 at 4:27 pm

Please forgive my ignorance, but both Mahathir and Anwar are devils in disguise. Mahathir did not achieve anything, he made Malaysia regresses 40 years. Conveniently he blame Soros. Try to reflect and understand what made the 1997 crisis? Its our money management. If Mahathir have RM10.00 he will shout that he has RM1,000.00 which is different with Pa’lah, if he has RM10.00, he will say he has RM8.00 and keep the RM2.00 for contigencies (I know some people will say he give the RM2.00 to son-in-law, may be but then again may be not). So it was actually the excesses from 1987 till 1996 that weaken our economy, to people like Soros, its open invitation to make money so why not take it. Anwar was so naive that he listen to advisers from IMF (indirectly saying sell your country). This is the problem when he has limited knowledge about how the global financial system works. I wonder what other limitations he has - in terms of knowledge I mean.
So there is some truth in what people are accusing them of. Just take it with a pinch of salt and a big open mind.

Who else have the capability to be our PM? Najib? The Keris Man? KJ? Please name me one capable UMNO idiots that fit and qualify to be our PM?

MCA MIC Gerakan??? Dream On! Malaysia will never ever allow a Chinese or be it an Indian to be a MB, what more a PM?

Sabahan Bumis or Sarawakian Bumis, do you think UMNO gonna let them be the PM?

Sometimes I do not understanding how BN chooses their represensitive for election… Some dont even have high qualification or rather dont even look, talk and act like a Leader. I am not sure, please enlighten me if anyone here have all the informations of all the elected/won BN Parlimentary Seat education. Put it simple, how can a dumb lead us rakyat….dont you think we are even dumber to elect a dumb idiot to be your Parlimentary or State Leader? Then we felt regretted that we have this type of Parliment Represensitive “Close One Eye” Tiap Tiap Bulan Bocor” and “Tak suka Keluar Dari Malaysia, Balik China” etc etc.. By then it is too late. As I see it, those people who elected this type of MP even dumber, meaning you just vote because of the Party based not because if the person is qualify or not. It even show me that the dumbest of all is BN idiots that select this type of people for MP…. But this GE 2008, the rakyat are not dummy anymore. The rakyat are getting smarter and educated.

Well, does not mean a less educate MP is not good enough to be one… but try to be a smart one, work hard for the rakyat and above all be humble.

For Anwar Ibrahim case, I hope or I do believe that the time he spent in jail has make him a changed person. There is always a 2nd chance to be a change person. Be it a revenge towards UMNO or be it he has awaken to a level KNOW HOW to become a leader for all rakyat. I rather take this chance then letting those BN idiots to lead again. If Anwar if not capable, he wont be invited to do speeches in well known Universities, financial or banking….

Well, Politics is always dirty. No matter how all those leaders want to do or fight…just do not take the Rakyat welfare for granted.

Aiman, yes Anwar should wait, but sometimes in the midst of chaos, you may find an opportunity…so why not take the risk and after all, what the different to lead now rather then wait for next GE?

    hutchrun,

i’m gonna bet my left nut that you don’t know nuts about the inner workings of finance and currency trading as well as macro economics. and you are either too young or too ignorant to remember wat really happenned in 1997. high interest rates was announced by dsai in 1997 to attract funds to come in Malaysia. but it backfired. coz when u raise interest rates, the credit rates will go oup as well. that’s why businesses cant afford to get loans due to its high interest rates. high interest rates were suggested by the IMF which retrospectively proven to be the wrong move to make. even now the US lower it’s interest rates when economy is slowing down instead of increasing it. why lower and not higher? dsai couldn’t comprehend why it has to be lowered, unlike TDM. it has to be lowered so that businesses can still run their activities without the increase in costs. higher finance cost will squeeze it’s credit rating and higher product price thus will make business go bankrupt. if too many companies collapse, foreigners will lose confidence to invest thus the outflow of funds. if companies are successful, then the country will gain income and will increase the inflow of funds from the outside. you get this hutchrun? your opinion is skewed. and please lah wei… anwar too were corrupt when he was in the govt. his brother who was a drug addict, received a lot of IOI Group shares to become an instant millionaire. So quit tellin ppl anwar is clean coz he never does. He made a lot of money practicing the same thing he criticise these days.. via nepotism and cronyism so if you still harping on the issues of how corrupt umno or tdm are, then you should look at anwar too. it;’;s okay to be blind. but to be blindly stupid is unforgivable.
